Five days of WJC action in the books

The 2010 edition of the IIHF World Junior Championship started off with a bang, as Team Canada roared out of the gate on Boxing Day; defeating Lativa 16-0. Team USA methodically dismantled Slovakia later that evening 7-3. Other scores from 12/26: Sweden 10- Czech Rep. 1, Russia 6- Austria 2.
On Sunday (12/27), Team USA lead by goaltender Jack Campbell shutout the Swiss 3-0. Sweden defeated Austria 7-3, Finland outlasted the Czech Rep. 4-3, and Slovakia took out their frustration on Lativa 8-3.
Team Canada returned to action on Monday (12/28), blanking the Swiss 6-0. Jordan Eberle led the way with 5 points (1+4). Later in Regina, Russia held on in a tight contest against Finland 2-0.
On Tuesday (12/29), the Czech squad defeated the Austrians 7-1. Team Sweden dispatched of Russia 4-1. Tournament heavyweights, Canada and USA both won maintaining their undefeated status (CAN 8- SVK 2, USA 12- LAT 1).
Team Finland returned to action on Wednesday (12/30), beating Austria 10-1. The Swiss team posted their first win of the tournament, defeating Lativa 7-5.
